Waterbury HEALTH‘s Women’s Health Program in Connecticut launched a new social media campaign highlighting some of the most important services to patients while focusing on wellness and prevention of disease.

The program’s philosophy is based on empowering women to be active partners in their healthcare, providing women of all ages with compassionate, comprehensive, quality care. “We aim to create a comfortable and safe environment where patients can freely speak about any health concerns while feeling heard and validated,” said Dr. Mary Lizabeth Aquavia, medical director of the program.

The expert staff includes a dedicated team of physicians, surgeons, registered nurses, technicians, and a personal health navigator. In addition to all ob/gyn services, the program includes primary care, bone health, behavioral health, blood drawing, the Breast Health Center, cardiology, digestive health, endocrinology, imaging, nutrition, pelvic health, pulmonary, neurology, rheumatology, and surgery.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony set was held on June 17, 2021, to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of Access Rehab Centers’ Women’s Health, Lymphedema, and Pelvic Health Clinic.  The clinic specializes in treatment and diagnoses that commonly affect women, including breast cancer, pelvic floor weakness, pelvic pain, osteoporosis, and pregnancy related pain, as well as lymphedema therapy to mostly female patients.
