President and CEO Dr. Justin Lundbye of Waterbury HEALTH in Connecticut presented a check to founder and CEO of Save Girls on Fyre, Jacquee Porter. The organization was one of two organizations helping youth and children to receive a Prospect Medical donation this year.

Save Girls on Fyre is an independent nonprofit seeking to break the cycles of social immobility and absence of opportunity for girls of color. The organization is designed to challenge the internal and external barriers while promoting agency of Black and Brown girls and ensuring their right to lead full lives. The mission of the organization is to motivate, inspire and empower girls of color to become future young, educated role models.
